Oh boy it has been a long time, hasn't it? It's been a little crazy around here with work, traveling, attending the Young Living Essential Oils Conference and getting ready to move!!! We definitely just signed the last round of papers for our new house. I can't believe we are going to have a home soon! We had a townhouse before which was really nice and I'm excited and nervous to actually have a free standing house. Here's a sneek peak of a few pictures the previous owners posted. The house is about 2,500 square feet which is much bigger than our previous 1,600. It has 3 beds and 3.5 baths with an office and den area. The previous owners really decorated everything so well. It is like a model home. Chris and I won't have this much furniture for awhile lol.
Here is the front of the house:
We were determined to find a one-story which is really hard in the Las Vegas area where there are mostly two stories. We decided we are too lazy to go up and down stairs again :) We wanted to find a 3 car garage but everything else about this house is perfect. And really that would just give us more room for junk. With the market the way it is here, there were about 5 other offers on this house and the owners chose ours! I was actually out of town when Chris went and saw the house and made an offer. I knew it was the one right when it popped up on our radar. It is crazy how similar we are to the previous owners.
What's great is that most of the upgrades that we would like to do are already done. The owners thought this was going to be their forever home before a job transfer was too good to refuse. Now it's our forever home :)
Here is the couryard area:
I can't wait to be able to have room to sit outside! In our last place we were very close to our neighbors and every time we went to sit outside on our little patio and enjoy the fresh air they would light up a cigarette :(
Next up is my favorite space...the kitchen:
I can't wait to have lots of dinner parties here :) There is plenty of counter space and storage. The pantry is a little small but I think we'll have plenty of room.
I also really like the built-in library in the living room. Can't wait to read books and kick back here.
Here is the master bedroom:
Down from the master there are 2 more rooms and bathrooms. Great space for guests or if a little one comes our way.
We weren't sure about having a pool with all the maintance and cost, but with the 117 degree heat here the past few weeks, I'm looking forward to it! We are looking into switching the pool back to salt water and adding a special light to help reduce the amount of chlorine needed. Anyone have any experience with that?
I can hardly wait!!! It is going to be a hot one trying to move in the heat of July :)
I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer and I'll be back once we are settled and comfy in our new home.
